The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kenya intends to hold African Cartoon Festival on COVID-19. This festival is solely for African and Iranian cartoonists. The secretariat will receive the artworks of the cartoonist from all over Africa
The Iranian Embassy led by H. E. Jabber Barmaki is exploring possible partnerships and collaboration between the University of Nairobi and Iranian Universities.
The University of Nairobi multidisciplinary team of engineers and doctors have developed a home grown portable ventilator that will reduce the cost of the current ventilators by nearly 90% . Speaking during a demonstration session by the lead engineers and doctors, Prof. Stephen Kiama, the University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor, congratulated the team for the hardwork put in place to ensure that the low cost portable ventilator comes to life. “This demonstrates our value of care. We care for Kenyans”, he said.
Kenya is endowed with diverse habitats that are home to unique and diverse flora and fauna. These diverse habitats are represented within the protected area system that comprise of approximately 12% of the Kenyan territory, classified as national parks, national reserves, marine reserves and forest reserves.
These areas have varied ecosystems and habitats ranging from marine, inland wetlands, fresh and salty water lakes, rivers, volcanoes, hot springs, savannahs, forests, mountains, caves and deserts.

The Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO), University of Nairobi, held an Intellectual Property Commercialization training for members of the Colleges’ Management and Researchers on 5th and 6th March 2020.
The following technologies are ready for commercialization. The University of Nairobi is willing to take on board partners in the commercialization process of the technologies. The partnership can be in the form of licensing, assignments, spinoffs and collaboration in technology development.
