The University has research output with high potential for commercialization. Some of this research output has been identified and protected. The products and process that have potential for commercialization are in various stages of development. Some need more research, prototyping, market research and others are ready for marketing. The IPMO proposes to train staff and researchers from various units of the University, so that these products and processes can be moved along into the product development and commercialization phase.
The training is intended to be practical and therefore the resource persons are drawn from invention/innovation and incubation based organizations, inventors with commercialized Intellectual Property and those with relevant business skills.
