INNOVATIONS FOR COVID-19
The University of Nairobi has been very active coming up with solutions to COVID-19 related issues.
The innovations include;
- High quality sanitizers, soaps and detergents were developed at the school of pharmacy and the College of Biological and Physical Sciences. One of these sanitizers evaporates very quickly and leaves no residue on the hands . Three trademarks were registered for these sanitizers.
Patents and Utility models were applied for various inventions related COVID-19 including for:
- Method and apparatus for non-contact fever detection with remote telemetry in a human
- An industrial face shield
- A ventilator
