FACULTIES SENSITIZATION AND TRAINING ON INNOVATION AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

The IPMO is conducting a series of sensitization campaigns on innovation and intellectual property protection targeting the 11 faculties at the University of Nairobi. This campaign running through April seeks to create awareness among the University staff members on the status quo of innovation in the faculties and the essence of intellectual property protection.

HULT PRIZE ON CAMPUS FINALS 2022

The Intellectual Property Management Office partnered with Hult-Prize at the On Campus program finals held on 15th March 2022. The event held at the University of Nairobi Main Campus witnessed the University of Nairobi intellectual property officer, Mr John Maina present to the audience an address on intellectual property protection. Mr Maina called on innovators to seek intellectual property protection for inventions and innovations that they develop to gain maximum benefit from their hard work.

THE NAIROBI INNOVATION WEEK 2022

The Nairobi Innovation Week 2022 will bring together a wide range of stakeholders including students, researchers, start-ups and small enterprises; innovators and entrepreneurs thinking about starting businesses; investors and venture capitalists. Over fifty (50) exhibitors are expected to participate in this year's Nairobi Innovation Week.

The NIW 2022 will focus on innovations and start-ups. The innovations to be showcased will be guided by Kenya's Big-Four agenda and crosscutting innovations as indicated below:
