The event saw over 3,000 trees planted at the University of Nairobi Upper Kabete Campus. This is a significant addition to the tally of trees planted by the University of Nairobi community over the years. The event had however been put on hold in 2020 and 2021 due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic but has now been revitalized in 2022. The tree planting activity goes a long way toward enhancing the forest cover in the region.
