INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND RESEARCH OUTPUT COMMERCIALIZATION TRAINING ON 10TH NOVEMBER 2020

The University has research output with high potential for commercialization. Some of this research output has been identified and protected. The products and process that have potential for commercialization are in various stages of development. Some need more research, prototyping, market research and others are ready for marketing. The IPMO proposes to train staff and researchers from various units of the University, so that these products and processes can be moved along into the product development and commercialization phase.

Emergence of the All Africa Postharvest Congress and Exhibition: Creating Awareness about Food Loss and Waste and Sustainable Solutions

The 74th United Nations General Assembly designated 29 September as the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, recognizing the fundamental role that sustainable food production and consumption plays in promoting food security and nutrition. Observance of this day globally marks a clear call to action for all stakeholders in both the public and private sectors to bolster efforts to reduce food loss and waste.

RESEARCH WEEK 2020

The 3rd Research Week 2020 is scheduled for October 12 -16, 2020. The annual event, hosted by the University of Nairobi, will feature 13 different conferences covering a diverse range of academic disciplines and is expected to bring together over 1,000 participants comprising researchers, scholars, students and practitioners from all over the world.
